Our exciting Grand World Voyage begins today! Along with colorful and exotic ports of call, you will enjoy plenty of fun-filled and sun filled days at sea enjoying our activities, expanding your horizons with our Explorations Speaker Presentation and an assortment of delectable demonstrations and private cooking classes in our Culinary Arts Center. The La Fontaine Dining Room, Canaletto Restaurant and Pinnacle Grill are sure to please even the most demanding palate with an extraordinary variety of menu choices. Our enrichment programs will keep you engaged all day long, or you can simply lounge on a deck chair as your cares float away. Enjoy the many exciting shore excursions offered, or simply stroll ashore and soak up the local atmosphere. While onboard, the Explorations Café is a perfect place to find a good book, surf the net and sip a delicious hand-crafted beverage. Sparkling entertainment in the Queen’s Lounge is sure to enliven your evenings followed by a wonderful variety of music for listening and dancing in our lounges. On behalf of Captain Jonathan Mercer, Hotel Director Henk Mensink, Cruise Director Bruce Allen Scudder and the entire ship’s complement, we would like to welcome back our longtime friends, as well as those joining us for the first time. Our veranda was very close to the navigation room.
Our room was one floor lower but we could wave to the officers on duty.
We were grateful to be on the ship. All of our luggage made it from Fed Ex. We moved into 6101. We met our room steward named Abual. Of course there is the mandatory boat drill. The ship’s captain said that if you don’t attend the drill then you don’t get to depart with the ship.
